Two openings. Your playing feel.

The Sopran comes in .065″ / 1.65 mm · .070″ / 1.78 mm. The opening describes the distance between the reed tip and mouthpiece tip. A change in opening can change the resistance and the way your reed responds.

Use your current mouthpiece as a reference. Try soft attacks, sustained notes and register changes with your usual reed before choosing. A wider opening is not automatically a better fit.

Precision in the geometry. Care in the finish.

The five-axis CNC process shapes the internal contours consistently. Each Legacy mouthpiece is then finished by hand and individually checked. Both colours are made from hard rubber; choose the appearance you prefer and judge the playing feel with your own setup.
